Sweep or vacuum often.
Loose dirt and grit are the biggest causes of damage to a floor finish. Let’s keep those floors looking great for years to come!
Do not steam mop.
The most commonly overlooked fact about caring for LVP floors is this: don’t steam mop! The hot steam can damage your LVP. Friends don’t let friends ruin their new floors.
Use furniture pads.
Always use furniture pads or similar alternatives when moving heavy objects across the floor. Specifically, wide non-staining floor protectors such as hard plastic or felt.
Avoid rubber pads on rugs.
Avoid using rubber-backed pads, as they can cause discoloration to your floor over time. These are often found on the back of some rugs, so it’s best to steer clear!
